Physical Science (6th – 8th)

Physical Science teaches an introduction to properties of matter, atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonds, reactions, motion, forces, energy, waves, sound, light, electricity, magnetism, Earth’s structure, weathering, atmosphere, chemistry and physics in the life sciences, and finally physical science research. Students will complete labs and hands-on projects throughout the course for an immersive learning experience with practical application.

This is a continuation of the course that was thought in the fall. During the fall we focused on chemistry, during the spring semester our focus will be on physics. Even if your student did not take the first half of the course no worries, the first half of this class is not needed to have success during the spring semester.

This course will use the Apologia curriculum. Text books and student notebooks are not required but enouraged. I will provide lab sheets, tests and answer keys.
